| Pituitary Gland | produces multiple hormones & is located at the base of the brain. It controls the body's growth & releases hormones into the bloodstream that control much of the activity of the other glands. |
| Thyroid Gland | Located just below the larynx & releases hormones important for regulating body metabolism |
| Thymus Gland | located beneath the sternum. |
| Pancreas | Best known for its production of insulin & glucagon. |
| Adrenal Glands | located on top of the kidneys & produce such hormones as aldosterone, cortisol, (hydrocortisone), androgens & estrogens. |
