Character Types

QuestionAnswer
Dynamic Character (noun) a literary or dramatic character who undergoes an important inner change, as a change in personality or attitude.
Static Character (noun) a literary or dramatic character who undergoes little or no inner change; a character who does not grow or develop.
Round Character (noun) Complex character that portrays both positive and negative qualities; not easily defined
Flat Character (noun) simplified character and only has one or a few qualities.
theme the universal message an author is trying to get across to readers
Personification a style used by authors to increase mood. It is when an author gives human qualities to non human objects.
Abrasive (adjective) tending to annoy or cause ill will; overly aggressive.
Tone the attitude that an author takes toward the audience, the subject or the character
Mood Emotions that you feel while you are reading a piece.
Imagery words that authors use to help create a picture in the reader's mind.
