Co-Opetition Is a strategy whereby companies cooperate and compete at the same time with companies in its value net.
Customer Relationship Management a tool to optimize the processing of customer information are routinely used to automate the internal operations of a firm's value chain
Enterprise resource planning A tool that automates function of the operations activities of the value chain
Information resource Available data, technology, people, and processes within an organization to be used bu the manager to perform business processes and tasks
IT asset Is anything tangible or intangible, that can be used by a firm in its processes for creating, producing, and/or offering its products (goods or services)
IT capability Something that is learned or developed over time for the firm to create, produce, or offer its products
Network effects Reason for value derived from plentitude; the value of a network node to a person or organization in the network increases when others join the network
Resource-based view Is useful in determining whether a firm's strategy has created value by using IT
Strategic alliance Is an interorganizational relationship that affords one or more companies in the relationship a strategic advantage
Supply chain management An approach to how companies source materials for operations
Web 2.0 the view of IT assets is broadening to include potential resources that are available to the firm, but that are not necessarily owned by the firm
