Science A way of learning about the natural world and the knowledge ganied though that process
Scientific Inquiry The diverse ways in which scientists explore problems and seek to answer questions about the natural world
Observation Using all 5 senses to gather information
Inference An interpretaion based on observation and prior knowledge
Hypothesis A possible explaniton for a set of observation or a answer to scientific question
Controlled Experment An experiment in which all factor except 1 are kept constent
Variable Any factor that can change in a experiment
Manipulated Variabel The one factor that a scientist change during an expirement also called the independent variable
Responding Variabel The one factor that a scientist change during an expirement also called a dependent variable
Data The facts,figures,and other evidence gained through observation
