difference between pure substance (e and c) and mixture

| pure substance | a sample matter ,either a single element or a single compound that has definite chemical and physical properties |
| compound | a substance made up of atoms of two or more different elements joined by chemical bonds |
| molecules | the smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of the physical and chemical properties of that substance |
| chemical formula | a combination of chemical symbols and numbers to represent a substance |
| subscript | a small number written to the right and slightly below a chemical symbol to tell the number of atoms of that element in the substance |
| mixture | a combination of two or more substance that are not chemically combined |
