Describe the movement of particles in solids, liquids, gasses, and plasma states
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| State of Matter | the physical forms, which include solid, liquid, and gas |
| Solid | the state of matter in which the volume and shape of a substance are fixed |
| Gas | a form of matter that does not have definite volume or shape |
| Melting Point | temperature at which a liquid vaporizes and changes to a gas |
| Vaporization | process in which a liquid changes to a gas |
| Boiling Point | the temperature at which a liquid vaporizes and changes to a gas |
| Condensation | the change of state from a gas to a liquid |
| Freezing Point | temperature at which a liquid changes into a soild |
| Sumblization | the process in which a solid changes directly into a gas |
| Phase-Changes Diagram | drawing that shows the relationships among temperature and changes |
| Plasma | a state of a matter that forms when temperature are enough to completely remove electrons from the atoms to which they were bond |
