Describe the diffrence between pure substance (e and C) and mixtures
| Term | Definition |

| pure substance | a sample of matter, either a single element or a single compound, that has define chemical and physical properties |
| Compound | a substance made up of atoms of two or more different elements joined by chemical bonds |
| molecule | the smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of the physical and chemical properties of that substance |
| Chemical Formula | a combination of chemical symbols and numbers to represent a substance |
| subscript | a small number written to the right and slightly below a chemically symbol to tell a number of atoms of that element in substance |
| mixture | a combination of two or more substances that are not chemically |
