describe the difference between pure substances(e and c) and mixtures
| Term | Definition |

| Pure substance- | a sample of matter, either a single element or a single compound, that has definite chemical and physical properties. |
| Compound- | a substance made up of atoms of tow or more different elements joined by chemical properties of that substance |
| Molecules- | the smallest unit of a substance that keeps ll of the physical and chemical properties of that substance |
| Chemical formula- | a combination of chemical symbols and numbers to represent a substance |
| Subscript- | a small number written to the right and slightly below a chemical symbol to tell the number of atoms of that element in the substance |
| Mixture- | a combination of two or more substances that are not chemically combined |
