Describe the difference between pure substance (e and c) and mixtures
| Term | Definition |

| pure subtance | a sample of matter,either a single element or a single compound, that has definite physical and chemical properties |
| compound | a substance made up of atoms of two or more different elements joined by chemical bonds |
| molecule | the smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of the chemical and physical substances of that substance |
| chemical | a combination of chemical symbols and numbers to represent a substance |
| subcript | a small number written to the right and slightly below a chemical symbol to tell the number of atoms of that element in the substance |
| mixture | a combination of two or more substances that aren't chemically combined |
