Describe the difference between pure substances ( e and c) and mixtures
Term | Definition |

pure substance | a sample of matter, either a single element or a single compound, that has definite chemical and physical properties |
compound | a substance made up of atoms of two or more different elements joined by chemical bonds |
molecule | the smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of the physical properties of that substance |
chemical formula | a combination of chemical symbols and numbers to represent a substance |
subscript | a small number written to the right and slightly below a chemical symbol to tell the number of atoms of that element in the substance |
mixture | a combination of two or more substances that are not chemically |
