Light

QuestionAnswer
What is transparent? Something that allows most or all light to pass through. (glass)
What is translucent? Something that allows some light to pass through. (waxed paper)
What is opaque? Something that does not allow light to pass through. (aluminum foil)
What is reflection? When light waves bounce.
What is refraction? When light waves bend.
What do concave lenses do? A lens that makes things look smaller and clearer.
What do convex lenses do? A lens that is used to magnify objects.
What is a prism? A triangular glass or transparent object that refracts light and separates white light into colors.
What physical characteristics make something a good reflector? It has a smooth surface
How do light waves travel? In straight lines.
