Graph A picture of information from a data table; shows a relationship between variable
Horizontal axis (x axis) runs left to right
Vertical axis (y axis) runs up and down
Orgin The point where two axis cross
Coordinate A pair of numbers used to determined the position of a point on a graph
Data point The point showing the location of that intersection
Line of the best fit smooth line that reflects the general pattern of a graph
linear graph line graph in which points yield a straight line
slope steepness of a graph line
nonlinear graph when data points don't fall along a straight line
