Term | Definition |

malleable | a term used to describe a material that can be pounded into shapes (Ex: aluminum flattened into a sheet) |
conductivity | the ability of an object to transfer electricity or heat to another object (Ex: copper wire in electrical circuits; a metal spoon in a pot of soup) |
semiconductor | a material which conducts current under certain conditions (Ex: silicon used in computer chips) |
reactivity | the ease and speed with which an element combines or reacts with other elements and compounds (alkaline metals are very reactive; noble gases are not) |
ductile | a term used to describe a material that can pulled into a long wire (Ex: copper, silver) |
