States of Matter
| Term | Definition |

| Solid | The state of matter in which the volume and shape are definite, particles are locked together in position and vibrate |
| Liquid | The state of matter which has a definite volume but an indefinite shape, particles are moving and slide past each other |
| Gas | The state of matter which has an indefinite volume and shape, particles are move independently and collide frequently. |
| Matter | Anything that has mass and takes up space |
| Definite | Does not change |
| Indefinite | Can change |
| Mass | The measure of the amount of matter in an object |
| Volume | A measure of size in 3D space, how much an object can be filled |
| States of Matter | Physical forms of a substance, depends of the motion of particles |
| Atom | The smallest unit of matter |
| Molecules | Smallest unit of of a chemical, made up of atoms |
| Attraction | The invisible force that brings/binds atoms together into molecules or particles |
| Collide | When particles more around and bump into each other, it usually sends the particles in different directions |
