| Gas | The state of matter with no definite volume or shape. |
| Matter | Anything that has mas that take up space. |
| State | Description of the object as a solid, liquid, or gas. |
| Solid | Definite shape and volume. |

| Solubility | The ability of an object to dissolve when mixed in another. |
| Magnetic | The ability of an object to attract to iron or steel. |

| Relative density | Determines whether one substance will sink or float. |

| Temperature | A measure of the energy of motion of the particles in a substance. |
