| Gas | The state of matter with no definite volume or shape. |
| Matter | Anything that has mas that take up space. |
| State | Description of the object as a solid, liquid, or gas. |
| Solid | Definite shape and volume. |
| Physical change | Changes in which the form or shape of a substance changes but the substance keeps it's identity. |
| Liquid | Matter with a definite volume but no definite shape |
| Volume | The amount of space that matter takes up. |
| Solubility | The ability of an object to dissolve when mixed in another. |
| Magnetic | The ability of an object to attract to iron or steel. |
| Boiling Point | A change in the state from a solid to a liquid. |
| Relative density | Determines whether one substance will sink or float. |
| Mass | The amount of matter in something. |
| Temperature | A measure of the energy of motion of the particles in a substance. |
| Freezing point | A change in the state from a liquid to a solid. |

| Insulator of heat | Stops passing of heat. |

| Friction | The force that resists motion when 2 surfaces rub against each other. |
