Cell Cycle The life cycle of a cell.This includes both interphase and mitosis/cytokinesis. Interphase is broken into G1, S, and G2 phases.
Sister Chromatids Identical copies of a chromosome. One goes to each daughter cell during cell division.
Mitosis Division of the nucleus in a eukaryote
Centromere Region that joins the two sister chromatids before their seperation.
Cytokinesis Division of the cell's cytoplasm to produce two daughters.
Kinetochore Region on chromatid to which the spindle microtublule attaches
Spindle Network of microtubules that extend from the poles of the dividing cell to each chromatid. These microtubules chorten and help to pull the chromatids apart during anaphase
