| citation | to give credit to a different source |
| claim | what you believe to be true |
| compare | to find similarities and differences between multiple things |
| conditional mood | form of subjunctive. expresses under what conditions something will happen. It usually uses "IF" with cause and effect. |
| contrast | finding differences between multiple things |
| credibility | if something is trustworthy |
| credible source | a source that is liable |
| drama | the art of writing, acting, or producing plays |
| explanatory | explaining or intending to explain |
| informative | to teach or inform |
| passive voice | a sentence that is inactive but acted upon |
| plagiarism | to copy someone else's work |
| poem | a piece of writing with a rhyme scheme and meter |
| relevant/ irrelevant | on topic/ not on topic |
| soliloquy | lines in a drama spoken by a character as if to himself or herself. |
| sonnet | a poem normally of 14 lines in any of several rhyme schemes |
| subjunctive mood | the verb form that is used to express suggestions, wishes, uncertainty, possibility, etc. (if, that) Usually found in complex sentences |
