Properties fo Matter

matter anything that has mass and takes up space
solid It has a definite shape, mass and volume
liquid It does not have a definite shape, but it has mass and volume that is flowing.
gas It does not have a definite shape, mass or volume that can sometimes be seen or not seen by the eye.
temperature a degree of hotness or coldness the can be measured using a thermometer
weight a degree of heaviness that can be measured by a scale
mass A measure of how much matter is in an object
observable properties Anything you can see with your eye about an object by using tools of measurement
texture the way that something feels when you touch it
