Support Gives help or assistance to the main idea or your reasoning.
Explain Describe in more detail
Describe Tell what someone or something is like
Compare Tell how two or more things or people are alike
Contrast Tell how two or more things or people are different.
Point of View The opinion of an individual in a text
Narrator The person telling the story
Speaker The person speaking in a poem
Setting The time and place that the story is taking place (location, weather, time period)
Infer Using facts from the text and what you know to make a decision
Characters The people/animals in a text
According "As said in"
Analyze Discover or reveal something after looking at it closely
Traits A quality or characteristic belonging to someone or something "She is kind" or "The fox was sneaky"
