Solitary nucleus taste (ant 2/3 of tongue from VII, post 1/3 from IX); baroreceptors & chemoreceptors from carotid & aortic bodies (IX); sensation from pharynx, larynx, & viscera (X); medulla
nucleus ambiguus LMN's to the stylopharyngeus musc (IX) & to muscs of pharynx & larynx (X)
dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus nerve/ vagal motor nucleus pre-ganglionic ps to thoracic & abd ganglia (heart, lungs, upper GI)
