The pull of gravity on an object (can change). Weight
Has mass and takes up space. Matter
The amount of matter in an oject (doesn't change). Mass
How tightly packed the matter in an object is cotton ball-loosely packed = low density, brass cute - tightly packed = higher density. Density/Dense
Whether a substance is a solid, a liquid, or a gas. State of Matter
A combination of two or more things Mixture
A mixture in which one substance dissolves into another substance Solution
Liquid turns into gas, leaves behind any dissolved substance. Evaporation/Evaporate
Melts. The particles become smaller. Dissolve
