What role does the skin play with vit. D? 1st step in vitamin D synthsis. essential for absorbtion of other stuff(calcium, Irom etc.)
What is a rash? is an area of red, inflamed skin, or a group of red spots, caused by irritation, allergy, infection, or defects to the skin's structure.
Eczema is an inflammation with pimple-like bumps
Psoriasis is a chronic immune disorder in which specific immune cells become overactive and release excessive amounts of proteins called cytokines.
Viral Infections Temporary viral infections, such as chicken pos and measles, also affect the skin. Antibiotics and antibacterial agents can't cur viral infections
Bacterial Skin infections are caused by many different bacteria, but the most common types are staphylococci, streptococci, and pseudomonas
fungal skin infections also known as "mycoses" occur when harmless fungi,which are ususlly present (parasites or saprophytes), gain entry into the skinEx. Athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm
parasitic infections are caused by insects or worms that burrow into the skin to live/or lay eggs.Ex. lice Scabies
There are 3 types of human lice Head,body, pubic
Chronic on going or long term
Acute sudden or short-term
Eyes See
Ears hearing & balancing equilibrium
