colloid a solution that has particles that remain evenly distributed throughout the solution.
solution a liquid mixture in which the minor component (the solute) is uniformly distributed within the major component (the solvent).
suspension A mixture in which small particles of a substance are dispersed throughout a gas or liquid.
tyndall effect The Tyndall effect, also known as Tyndall scattering, is light scattering by particles in a colloid or particles in a fine suspension.
