Changing Matter

freezing point temperature at which a liquid freezes and goes from a liquid to a solid. Water freezes at 32 degrees F or 0 degrees C.
boiling point temperature at which a liquid boils to become a gas. Water boils at 212 degrees F or 100 degrees C.
melting point temperature at which a solid becomes a liquid. Ice melts at 32 degrees F or 0 degrees C
physical change a change in matters position, size, shape, volume or state of matter.
chemical change occurs when one matter changes into another completely different kind of matter with different properties.
