| potential difference | the different potential energy between two location |
| insulator | a material that does not conduct heat of electrical energy well often used to prevent energy from leaving a particular place |
| circuit | a closed path that does not work using electrical flow |
| load | a device in a circuit that does not work using electrical energy |
| conductor | a material that allows heat or electrical energy to flow through it easily |
| resistor | an object added to circuit that restricts the flow of electrical energy inhibits the flow of electric current by producing a voltage drop when current pass through it |
| switch | a device used to control the flow of current through a circuit |
| seris circuit | a circuit in which the parts are joined one after another such that the current in each part is the same |
| parallel circuit | a circuit which the parts are joined in branches such that the potential difference across each part is the same |
| voltage | the potential energy between two location |
