Key Words in NYS Common Core ELA Tests

Define Give a concise and accurate definition of what is called for. Example: "_______social stratification.'
Enumerate List of outline your reply. Example: "_____upon the reasons for the downfall of the Roman Empire."
Identify Show recognition. Example: "____each picture by its title and name of the artist."
