These are the words we will use during our Light unit

reflection the bouncing of light off other objects
refraction the bending of light as it passes from one material to another
translucent relating to an object that reflects some light, absorbs come light, and transmits some light
transparent relating to an object that allows most of the light hitting it to pass through
opaque not allowing light to pass through
luminous producing light
light ray a straight line in which light travels from a source
absorption when an object soaks in something like a sponge
medium a substance that light travels througth
color perception how a person sees colors
