pendulum a type of oscillator
cycle a unit of motion that repeats over and over
frequency the frequency of an oscillator is the number of cycles it makes per second
amplitude this describes how big the cycle is
period graphs of harmonic motion repeat every period, just as the motion repeats every cycle
oscillator a system that shows harmonic motion
linear motion goes from one place to another
harmonic motion repeats itself over and over
hertz a group of things we think are important to consider when analyzing something
