Antechamber A room that is in front of or connected to another room
Annihilate To completely destroy
Apparatus Usually a structure or part of a machine
Gestapo A German soldier or policeman
Conflagration A large destructive fire
Delusion The mental state in which the person lies to themselves or is crazy
Decree A publicly spoken law or rule
Edict Same as a decree. A public declared law or statute
Fascists Political group that is usually very conservative and elitist. Many times these groups are aligned with wealth and racial purity groups.
Hasidic A sect of Judaism in which the followers focus on ritual and prayer and older traditions of Judaism.
Henceforth A transitional phrase that means "from here on out."
Insinuated Rather than speaking openly, to insinuate means to imply or secretly send a message.
Initiation A ceremony or process of introducing a new experience or status in life
Kabbala The body of mystical beliefs of Jewish origin
Liquidated To convert something to its smallest part and remove or dispose of it
Indiscriminately Without separation or difference in treatment
Oppressors The people inflicting the pain or the oppression of another group.
Penury Extreme poverty or lack of material possessions
Phylacteries The Jewish religious books usually contained in a leather bound box.
Peril Danger
Synagogue A Jewish place of worship or temple. Syn=together. Agogue=to be led together ( in prayer)
shavuot A feast held to commemorate the revelation of law on mount sinai
Surreptitious Sneaky or stealthy. Secretively
Shtibl A small house of prayer
Surname The last name or family name
Talmudic Hailing to do with the Talmud
