Chemical Bonding The combing of atoms to form molecules or ionic compounds
Chemical Bond An interaction that hold atoms or ions together
Valance Electron An electron that is found in the outer most shield of an atom and that determines the atoms chemical properties
Ionic Bond A bond that forms when electrons are transferred from one atom to another which results in a positive ion and a negative
Ion A changed particle the forms when an atom or group of atoms gain or loses one or more electrons
Covalent Bond A chemical compound that is formed by the sharing of electrons
Molecule The smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of the pysical and chemical properties of that substance
Metallic Bonds A bond formed by the at traction between positively charged metat ions and the electrons around them
