Pendulum A mass hung from a fixed support so that it is able to swing freely under the influence of gravity
Cycle a sequence of changing states that, upon completion, produces a final state identical to the original one
Frequency the number of periods or regularly occurring events of any given kind in unit of time
Amplitude the absolute value of the maximum displacement from a zero value during one period of an oscillation
Period recurring at equal intervals of time
Oscillator a device or machine producing oscillations
Damping a decreasing of the amplitude of an electrical or mechanical wave
Linear Motion motion along a straight line
Harmonic Motion a type of periodic motion where the restoring force is directly proportional to the displacement
Hertz the standard unit of frequency in the International System of Units (SI), equal to one cycle per second
Phase the fraction of a cycle of a periodic quantity that has been completed at a specific reference time
