TermDefinition
Sound Waves that transmit disturbances produced by vibrating objects
Vibrations Rapid, back-and-forth movements of particles
Pitch A measure of how high or low a sound is perceived to be, depending on the frequency of the sound wave.
Frequency The number of waves produced in a given amount of time
Wavelength The distance of any point on a wave to an identical point in another wave
Cochlea A spiraled, hollow chamber of bone within the ear
