Hero's Journey

Students will match steps of hero's journey to definition

Refusal of the Call I don't want to do this!
Beginning of the Adventure hero actually begins the adventure heading into an unknown realm
The Call To Adventure hero first get notice that his/her life is going to change
The Experience with Unconditional Love hero experiences love from family or friend or mentor. It keeps the hero going
The Road of Trials hero undergoes a series of tests or challenges. Often occurs in threes
Ultimate Boon Goal of the quest is achieved
Refusal of the Return hero may at first refuse to return to his/her world
Rescue From Without guide or rescuer has to help the hero return to his previous life
Magic Flight hero experiences adventure and perhaps danger as he/she returns to their previous life
Crossing or Return Threshold hero returns home retaining the wisdom gained from the journey and may share it with others
