Universal Design of Learning is an educational framework designed to create an environment that can accommodate individual learning differences so that all students will have equal access to the general curriculum.
Accommodations do not fundamentally alter or lower the standards in the instructional level, content or performance criteria.
Differentiated Instruction is tailoring the instructional content, process, products or learning environment along with flexible grouping and on going assessment to ensure all students have the opportunity to be successful in the general curriculum.
Modifications do fundamentally alter or lower the standards in the instructional level, content or performance criteria.
IEP At-A-Glance a document that has the student's IEP goals and accommodations which teachers can refer to in their classroom.
Accommodations Students are graded the same as their grade level peers.
Modifications Students are graded differently from their grade level peers.
