Liquids and Solids
| Term | Definition |

| bubbly | a liquid full of bubbles |
| colorless | clear, without color |
| crystals | a solid particle that is left behold when the water in a solution dries up |
| cylinder | a tube shaped container or object |
| dissolve | when a solid is mixed with a liquid, and the solid breaks down into pieces so small they can't be seen in the liquid |
| engineer | a scientist who uses materials to design useful objects and structures |
| flat | level, smooth, even |
| flexible | bendy or rubbery |
| float | to stay on the surface of the water |
| gas | mater that has no definite size or shape. |
| matter | anything that takes up space |
| property | something you can observe: size, color, shape |
| matter | Matter that has a definite shape and always takes up the same amount of space |
| transparent | Describes a liquid or solid that you can see through. Water is transparent |
| rigid | not flexible |
| translucent | Describes a liquid or solid that is clear enough to let light go through, but not transparent. A frosted window is translucent. |
