2. Gen birth, race, produce Genesis- the origin or mode of formation of something Genesis is the first book in the bible.
3. Gnos Know Diagnostic (adj)- concerned with the diagnosis of illness or other problems. When you go to the doctors office, they have a diagnostic test to see how your health has been.
4. Graph write, written Autograph- a signature, especially that of a celebrity written as a memento for an admirer. My mother had Jermain Hopkins signature from when he came into her job.
5. Logue a combining form used in the names of kinds of discourse, spoken or written. Dialogue- A literary work in the form of a conversation. Dialogue is mainly seen in plays or in stories.
6. Lys decomposition Lysin (n) - an antibody causing the disentigration of bacteria cells. Seeing lysin makes my skin crawl.
7. Meter measure Thermometer (n)- an instrument for measuring and indicating temperature People use thermometers to measure their temperature when feeling sick
8. Micro small Microscope- a tool used to see small things Scientists use microscopes to find diseases in blood
9. Morph form Morphology- the study of the forms of things I'd like to study morphology when I get older.

2. Puls drive, urge Pulse- a single vibration or short burst of sound, electric current, light, or other wave. We check our pulse to see if we're still breathing
3. Pend hang, weigh Pendant (adj)- hanging downward Her chain was pendantly sitting
4. Pos place, put Position (v)- the arrangement of something or someone Don't put yourself in a position you can't get out of.
5. Port carry Transport (v)- take or carry Transport the sculptures safely to there definition.
6. Rupt break Interrupted (adj)- messed with or broke You interrupted my day dreaming.
7. Scrib write Scribbled- wrote all over I got bored and scribbled on the paper.
8. Spec look Spectulate- to look and form a theory Scientist speculate chemical bonds.
9. Tac touch Contact- physically touching something My hands came in contact with the dirt as I planted the plants.
1. Dox opinion, praise Paradox- a situation, person, or thing that combines contradictory features or qualities The mingling of deciduous trees with elements of desert flora forms a fascinating ecological paradox.
