| Blithe | lighthearted; without concern |
| Dynamo | an electrical generator |
| Advocate | one who pleads without a cause; defender |
| Disinterred | to take from a grave or tomb; dug up or discovered |
| Sordid | filthy, dirty, and foul |
| Articulate | express an idea or feeling fluently or coherently |
| Arable | land suitable or used for growing crops and plowing |
| Quarry | a place, typically a large, deep pit, from which stone or other materials are or have been extracted from |
| Intermediary | a negotiator who acts as a link between parties |
