| qualitative | made by the gathering information that can be recorded using descriptive language. |
| quantitative | made by the gathering information that can be recorded as a number with a measurement unit. |
| infrence | not a fact,but an interpretation of what the direct observation mean. |
| law | describe what scientist expect to happen every time under a particular set of conditions. |
| constant | part of an experiment that is held in the same conditions for control and experimental. |
| variable | part of the experiment that changes. |
| independent variable | a factor in a controlled experiment that is intentionally changed by the experimentor. |
| scientific theory | a well tested explanation for a wide range of observations or experimenter. |
| inquiere | to ask for information. |
| responding variable | manipulated of another variable |
| expirament | a course of action completed in order to test a hypothesis. |
| control | a standard to which all other levels are compared in a scientific experiment |
