| Scientific inquary | The process of an experiment. |
| Physical change | Change that does not change the substance. (melted iron) |
| Chemical change | Change that does change the substance. (from wood to ash) |
| Atom | The basic unit of everything. |
| weight | The amount of gravity on an object. |
| Mass | The amount of matter in an object. |
| Newton | Unit of force required to move a kilogram at a rate of 1 meter squared. |
| Mechanical advantage | The ratio of the force produced by a machine to the applied input force. |
| Newtons 1st law | All objects that are at rest will stay at rest and all objects in motion will stay in motion. |
| Newtons 2nd law | The more acceleration applied the more force will be applied. |
| Newtons 3rd law | if a body exerts force on an object or other body then the object or person will exert a force at the same time as the first. |
| Gravity | Force that pulls objects towards each other. (Earth) |
| Accuracy | The closeness to the wanted or expected results/guess. |
| Calibration | A comparison between two units. |

| Unit | A measurement of a type of matter. |
| Volume | The measurement of a liquid. |
| Weight | The amount of gravity on an object. |
| Mixture | Two different substances combined but separate (Oil and water). |
| Compound | Two different substances combined to form a new compound (burning magnesium into ash) |
| Heterogeneous mixture | Two different substances not chemically combined but not able to be distinguished. |
| Element | Simplest pure substance. |
