motion and force
| velocity | is the rate of speed at which something happens |
| Newton's Laws. | Sir Isaac Newton devised three laws of motion |
| gravity | is the force that causes everything that goes up to fall back down. |
| First law of Motion: | an object will remain at rest or moving until acted upon by a force |
| THird law of motion: | To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction |
| Frictional forces | moving objects rubbing against another object |
| weight: | The force exerted on any object by gravity |
| Second Law of Motion: | force equals mass times acceleration |
| acceleration; | a change in velocity |
| changes in velocity or acceleration can be | moving faster, speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction |
