Light

TermDefinition
Concave Lens A lens that is thinner in the center and thicker at the edges, a shape that bends light outward
Convex Lens A lens that is thicker in the center and thinner at the edges, a shape that bends light inward
Focal Point A point where light rays come together after passing through a lens
Lens A curved piece of clear glass or plastic that bends light rays
Reflection The bouncing back of light rays from a surface
Refraction The bending of light rays as they pass from one material into another
Prism A glass bar that separates white light into the colors of the rainbow
Visible Light electromagnetic waves that you can see; includes all the colors of the rainbow
