What is a media text? A media text is how we do media. Examples include media sources such as: newspaper, radio, podcast, vlog, clothing, logo, etc.
What is a media form? A media form is the specific organization of some media text. For example, newspaper is a media text, and an editorial is a media form possible in a newspaper.
Historically, what was the most common medium? Print
Currently, what is the most common medium? Digital
What is a vlog? A vlog is a media text that combines video and weblog.
What is a documentary? A documentary is a nonfiction motion picture (movie) that documents some aspect of reality.
What is mass media? Mass media are media texts that are intended to reach a large audience through mass communication. For example, billboards, sky writing, public protests, newspapers, etc.)
What is "opinion" or "information" as a text form? Opinion or information, as a text form, exists when someones takes a stance on an issue. It is encouraged to move from personal opinion to a critical stance that accounts for other perspectives on the given issue.
What is "diary" as a text form? Diary, as a text form, exists when someone reflects on his or her own experiences by sharing thoughts or feelings.
What is "review" as a text form? Review, as a text form, exists when someone summarizes current information on an issue.
