| Newton's second law of motion | States that the Accelration of an object is the same directin as the net force on an object is in the same direction as the net force on the object |
| Friction | The force that apposes the sliding motion of two surfaces that are touching each other |
| Static Frictionf | The frictional force that prevents two surfaces from sliding past each other |
| Sliding Friction | The force that opposes the motin of two surfaces sliding past each other |
| Air resistance | Opposes the motion of objects to fall with different accelerations and different speeds |
| Gravity | Attractive force between two objects that depends on the masses of the objects and the distance between them |
| Weight | Gravitational force exerted on an object |
| Centripetal Acceleration | Acceleraton of an object towards the center of a curved or circular path |
| Centripetal Force | A net force that is directs towards the center of a curved or circular path |
| Newton's third law of motion | States that when one object exerts a force on a second object exerts a force on the first object that's equal strength and in the opposite direction |
| Momentum | Property of a moving object that equals its mass times its velocity |
