Light Energy

reflection light bouncing off a surface
refraction light slowing down as it travels through other matter; "bending" of light
transparent all light passing through material; images are clear
translucent some light passing through material; images are fuzzy
opaque no light passing through material; no image can be seen
absorb soak up
convex lens lens that bends outward like the eye; thicker in the middle; brings light rays to a focal point in the front as it refracts the light
concave lens lens that bends inward like the letter 'C'; thinner in the middle; refracts light by spreading it out from a focal point behind the lens
