describe the difference between pure substances(elementsandcompounds)and mixture

11. pure substance | a sample of matter, either in a single element or a single compound, that has definite chemical and physical properties. |
12. compound | a substance made up of atoms of two or more different elements combined by chemical bonds |
13. molecule | the smallest unit of a substance that keeps all of the physical and chemical properties of that substance |
14. chemical formula | a combination of chemical symbols and numbers to represent a substance |
15. subscript | a small number written to the right and slightly below a chemical symbol to tell the number of atoms of that element in the substance |
16. mixture | a combination of two or more substances that are not chemically comined |
