Global warming A gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants.
Climate change A change in global or regional climate patterns,
Energy resources Sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat.
Green resources Renewable energy.
Non-renewable resources Renewable energy is generally defined as energy that comes from resources which are naturally replenished on a human timescale such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat.
Renewable resources Nonrenewable resources in that their use is not sustainable because their formation takes billions of years.
Acid rain Rainfall made sufficiently acidic by atmospheric pollution that it causes environmental harm.
Pollution The presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance or thing that has harmful or poisonous effects.
Adapt Become adjusted to new conditions.
Depend Rely on.
Modify Make partial or minor changes, typically so as to improve it or to make it less extreme
Natural disaster A natural event such as a flood, earthquake, or hurricane that causes great damage or loss of life.
Deforestation Deforestation is the clearing of trees, transforming a forest into cleared land.
Reforestation The action of renewing forest cover (as by natural seeding or by the artificial planting of seeds.
Positive A good, affirmative, or constructive quality or attribute.
Negative Consisting in or characterized by the absence rather than the presence of distinguishing features.
