Reconize that there are more than 100 elements and some have similar properties

Periodic table a table of the chemical elements arranged in order of atomic number, usually in rows, so that elements with similar atomic structure appear in vertical columns.
Period A period is the name given to a horizontal row of the periodic table.
Group any collection or assemblage of persons or things; cluster; aggregation:
Valence electrons an electron that is associated with an atom, and that can participate in the formation of a chemical bond;
Reactivity the state or power of being reactive or the degree to which a thing is reactive.
Metalloid an element whose properties are intermediate between those of metals and solid nonmetals
Inert lacking the ability or strength to move.
