region

TermDefinition
Functional Region is a region that has a defined core that retains a specific characteristic that diminishes outwards.
Perceptual Region An area defined by subjective perceptions that reflect the feelings & images about key place characteristics
Formal Region A region delineated on the basis of one or more identifiable trait which sets it apart from other regions
Physical Characteristics For an archival description, this provides details of the material in the archival collection, regarding the appearance of the materials, or any physical qualities which might affect the accessibility or usability of the materials.
Human Characteristics Part of what it means to be human is how we became human. Over a long period of time, as early humans adapted to a changing world, they evolved certain characteristics that help define our species today.
Boundaries a line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line.
Fuzzy Boundaries specificity, whereas fuzziness connotes unsharpness of class boundaries
Defined Boundaries something that indicates bounds or limits; a limiting or bounding line
