The Writing Process

The Writing Process used in C.Arts

TermDefinition
Plan/Pre-Writing Great writers create a PLAN before writing. They brainstorm, research, and organize their ideas.
First Draft Great writers create a rough draft or sloppy copy.
Evaluate Great writers ask themselves, "Does this make sense to the reader?" "Will the reader understand or picture this in his/her mind?"
Revise Great writers add, delete, change, or improve their writing.
Edit Great writers check for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization.
Share/Publish Great writers share their writing.
