dilantin phenytoin. inhibits sodium channels. nystagmus, sedation, teratogen, dysrhythmias, rash, gingival hyperplasia.
tegretol carbamazapine. slows na. channels (refractory period). dizziness, headache, bone marrow duppresion, visual disturbances
depakote valproic acid. blocks sodium & calcium channels. gaba augmentation n/v. liver toxicity/failure. pancreatitis.
phenylbarbital increases GABA effects. sedation & depression. hyperexcitability in children. dependence may occur. withdrawal gradually.
